Anti-theft immobilizer On Board Diagnostic (OBD) Immobilizer electronic components and warning light function The immobilizer electronics consist of: r control electronics in instrument cluster r a warning light for anti-theft immobilizer sensor -K117- in instrument
cluster (speedometer display) r a matched engine control module
r an induction coil on the ignition lock r matched ignition keys with electronic components (transponder and response reader memory)
Malfunction recognition and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) display via warning light for anti-theft immobilizer sensor An intact immobilizer system is indicated by the warning light for anti-theft immobilizer sensor -K117- lighting up and going out after approx. 3 seconds when the ignition is switched on.
